Coins for Lent
During Lent, many of us are reminded once again to examine our lifestyles and ask, “What can we do for others?” Compassion and offering a serving heart to our neighbors are part of faith formation at any age. This Lent we are challenging you to participate in Coins for Lent. A daily practice of giving coins following the rules on our daily schedule. For example, day 1 is “a coin for every lamp.” You would add a coin (whatever denomination you choose) for every lamp in your house and add it to your jar. At the end of Lent, on Easter morning, we will gather all these jars and give a gift to the Blue Earth Area School BUCCY Bags program. A program to help make sure kids have enough food. I hope you will take up this fun challenge as we prepare our hearts for Easter.
